AKCNSTUDIOS is an independent studio from Germany for limited Designer Toys and Art Toy sculptures in the premium segment. Every edition is produced in small batches — not for the masses, but for collectors who want statement pieces with character.

Both — and neither. THE NOIR belongs to the NOT A TOY Collection: an Art Toy in form, a sculpture in intent. Not a plaything, but a Statement Piece for interiors, studios, galleries and showrooms. The Designer Toy tradition meets limited collectible art.

Upper premium to luxury segment for collectible art. THE NOIR launches at €699.95 as the launch price for Edition 100. We position deliberately above the mass market: limited quantities, handcraft and material quality justify the price. Anyone who treats Designer Toys as an investment class understands this position.

Three things: the radically matte black coating (5 layers, light-absorbing) makes it the visual anchor of any room. The limit of 100 pieces worldwide makes it a rarity. And the format (28 cm) is large enough to command presence — without ever feeling overdone. A Statement Piece not through volume, but through reduction.

Yes. THE NOIR is Drop 001 of the NOT A TOY Collection. More drops and limited Designer Toy editions are in preparation — each with its own form, material, and story. To not miss a drop: subscribe to the newsletter. There will never be reprints of a finished edition.

THE NOIR is made to order. Delivery time is 6–7 weeks from receipt of payment. You'll receive an email confirmation with tracking number once your piece ships.

Yes — worldwide shipping is included in the price. Customs duties may apply depending on the destination country and are the buyer's responsibility.

For deliveries outside the EU, customs typically charges duties of 10–20% of the order value, paid directly to the carrier (DHL/FedEx) on delivery. There's nothing we can do about that — bureaucracy is bureaucracy. As a small gesture: use code CUSTOM50 at checkout for €50 off (minimum order €100, one use per customer). Consider it our trust deposit from the studio.

Since each piece is individually made to order, cancellation isn't possible once production has started. Please contact us within 24 hours of ordering if you need to cancel. If your piece arrives damaged in transit, we'll be in touch immediately.

THE NOIR is hand-cast from premium resin and finished with five layers of matte black coating. The result is a velvety, deep surface that doesn't reflect light — it absorbs it.

Yes. Each of the 100 pieces is hand-cast, sanded, coated and signed. Subtle natural variations in the surface are intentional and part of the character of every individual original. The edition number is engraved directly onto the piece and the certificate.

THE NOIR is limited to exactly 100 pieces worldwide. There will be no re-runs, no reprints, no additional editions. Drop 001 is the only edition of this form.

Every piece ships with an engraved metal certificate carrying your individual edition number. In addition, each piece is hand-signed by designer and artist AKCN. The case combination matches your edition number.

We can't guarantee that — and we'd never promise it. What we can say: KAWS, Daniel Arsham and similar artists started with exactly this approach. Limitation, handcraft, authenticity. What it becomes is for the market to decide.
